Abstract
In this study, a general evaluation is made by comparing the Law No. 6356, which was adopted in The Grand National Assembly of Turkey in 2012, with the laws numbered 2821 and 2822.
The study consists of two parts. In the first part, the basic features of the new law are briefly mentioned.
In the second part, some provisions of the law and 2821 of the Law No. 2821 in the very general framework are compared and evaluated in terms of the unions' laws in the past, which are subject to discussion and criticism.
As a result, the new law continues to limit, in particular, the restrictions on the right to collective bargaining and strike, with some limited improvements in terms of trade union building, the internal functioning of trade unions and trade union activities, and in some areas increasing restrictions.
