Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to examine the content analysis which is one of the research methods in social sciences and "horoscope analysis", which is a content analysis technique, on a theoretical basis. In this context, the definition, elements and features of the content analysis method, advantages and disadvantages, application areas and stages, analysis techniques used in content analysis, process steps and especially the concept and elements of the technique of starfall analysis are discussed.

İn the study, on the way the parliamentary speech of the political parties, made by the MHP President on 4 October 2016, horoscope analysis, a technique of content analysis, was conducted to determine the qualities of the political language.The presentation of the MHP party leader is significant in terms of attaining important information on behalf of the evaluation of the characteristics of the Turkish language of politics. In this study, the type and the richness of the vocabulary used in the speech of the MHP leader in the political language, the types and characteristics of the words used, the general structure of the speech and the agenda items are evaluated in the framework of the analysis of horoscope.
